Dear Lancashire Rugby Family
I am after a small favour, 8 years ago I was playing in a game of rugby when from an innocuous tackle and ruck a friend of mine didn't get back up, we very quickly realised something was very wrong, after 30 minutes of agonising CPR waiting for an ambulance we were able to get Stuart to hospital and later learned that he was paralysed from the neck down. This was certainly the worst imaginable thing you could ever want to see on any sporting field, but from it I have seen inspirational support from the RFU and injured players foundation and I am trying to raise some money along with my old team mates to support others should tragedy affect them. We are supporting a fund raiser that we have been part of for 4 years now with ex England and Ireland stars playing a charity match on the eve of the England Ireland 6 nation’s match. I will be attempting to play against Wasps Vets, RAF Vets and London Fire brigade vets at the Twickenham Stoop prior to the England and Ireland legends match. If any of you are in London this weekend for the international please get along on Friday night to cheer on Lewis Moody's team or alternative laugh at me as I am turned inside out by some very good old rugby players.
If you can make a small donation even if it's just £1 please to help me try and meet my personal target of raising £600

There is documentary about Stuart and the day that changed his life, please be warned that if you do watch this you will need a tissue at the end
