Norths Talented Girls leave West Park/ VOL with problems.

The West Park/VOL cluster has for many years been a shinning example of the female rugby talent available in the North.

Following an initial tour to Toulon some three years ago in conjunction with colleagues from West Park , Leeds , they have dominated initially U15 and subsequently U18 Rugby.

Not only were "The South of France" representative team roundly beaten , a trip last June to Perpignan resulted in professional contracts being offered to the players to stay in France and complete their education , they are planning with other Lancashire Clubs to take 24 players to Paris in June where they will meet , representative sides from Holland, Belgium , Georgia , the "Paris" Region and the "Basque" Region of France.

All this success has had a major effect on the club , despite the honour of having Holly Aitchison and Rachel Woosey , plus regular Squad guest Zoe Aldcroft make up a third of the England U18 7's Squad which won the inaugural European Championship in Sweden last year , they now face the fact that having reached , undefeated from the pool stages , the first ever National U18 Cup semi final, they will have to play without their Captain and talisman Sally Stott , who has smashed her way into the England U20's and faces along with Zoe , France that day but also Molly Morrissey who has been called into the Midlands Senior Academy and is away at a training weekend.

Lancashire wish them well for both the game and their forthcoming tour.
